COMMELL Systems Corporation announces the new standalone industrial
embedded multiple Ethernet x86 computing platform, the EMB-564.
Based on the VIA Eden low
power CPU, offers embedded x86 processing capacity with 533, 800 MHz
and 1 GHz of speed under fan free operating. The EMB-564
also offers four onboard PCI-based Ethernet controllers, including one
Intel PRO/1000 MT GbE and three Intel PRO/100+ Fast Ethernet. With
the features of the compact size, fan free operating,
optional Intel PRO/1000 MT GbE, Intel PRO/100+ and Realtek 10/100 Mbps
Fast Ethernet interfaces, bootable CompactFlash socket, the EMB-564
should be the ideal hardware solution of firewall, VPN and mini
server platform for
the small business / SOHO firewall / VPN market and all-in-one
internet server application. Compact
5.25" Drive Size and Low Power Fanless Operating
To
meet the demand of compact size, the EMB-564
is integrated with onboard CPU, DRAM, four onboard Ethernet
controllers and others all of the functions for the small business / SOHO firewall / VPN market and all-in-one
internet server application in the compact 5.25" drive size
chassis. With VIA Eden embedded x86 CPU and the advanced thermal
solution, the EMB-564
provides the feature of fan free operating for the low power and low
noise application. Four
Onboard Ethernet and Mini-PCI WLAN Interface The
EMB-564
offers four onboard PCI-based Ethernet controllers, including
optional one Intel PRO/1000 GbE and three Intel PRO/100+ Fast
Ethernet, or four Realtek RTL8139C+ Fast Ethernet controllers. The
four onboard Ethernet ports provide the interfaces for WAN, LAN, DMZ
and administrator / user define configuration for the firewall / VPN
/ IP shared router and all-in-one internet server application. The
onboard mini-PCI socket also supports the add-in IEEE802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi
WLAN interface for additional AP (Access Point) application.
Bootable
CompactFlash and DOM Flash Disk Interface For
most of the demand of networking device, the solid state flash disk
should be the important factor to enhance the system reliability
with embedded software. The EMB-564
offers the bootable, driver free, IDE-based CompactFlash socket for
CFC (CompactFlash Card) and 40-/44-pin IDE port for DiskOnModule, to
pre-install the OS, driver and program.
